Education, Training & Qualifications
Essential Criteria:
* Full GMC registration and holds a licence to practice
* Consultant in an Acute Teaching Hospital
* Member/Fellow of appropriate Royal College
* Evidence of continuing professional & personal development as a clinical leader
* Patient safety specialist or willing to complete the training
Desirable Criteria:
* Leadership/management qualification or training e.g. NHS Leadership Academy programme
Knowledge & Experience
Essential Criteria:
* Significant experience in Medical Management with a demonstrable track record of successful clinical leadership in a complex healthcare organisation
* Experience of medical job planning, appraisal, and clinical assessment
* Experience of the management of complex projects
* Evidence of working across organisational boundaries to deliver transformational change
* Experience of working with patients and the public to enhance and develop patient pathways
* Experience of effective collaborative working across professions, the healthcare system and external stakeholders
Skills
Essential Criteria:
* Strong influencing skills with the ability to shape development across the health and social care system
* Able to make decisions and take charge of events through a performance management approach
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Has personal and professional credibility and commands the respect of fellow clinicians

Appointments will be made on merit. In submitting an application form, you authorize Kettering General Hospital (KGH) NHS Foundation Trust to confirm any previous NHS service details via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process, including factual reference, occupational health clearance, and statutory and mandatory training record.
If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019, all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy, which has an annual cost of £16. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years' time.
Please note that new starters with KGH are subject to a six-month probationary period.
