As a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer at White & Case, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our global cloud infrastructure with a specific focus on Microsoft. You will drive efficiency through automation, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure seamless integration of technology across our global operations. Collaborating with a diverse, international team, you will support the firm's technology needs, enabling our lawyers to deliver elite legal services worldwide. Key Responsibilities
* Microsoft 365 and Copilot Management:
o Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
o Configure Copilot, a cloud-based platform that integrates with M365 to enhance collaboration, communication, and productivity.
* Microsoft Purview Implementation:
o Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions with a focus on information protection, data governance, compliance management, and insider risk management.
o Use Copilot Studio to connect with Purview, facilitating the creation, management, and monitoring of data policies and classifications.
* Security and Compliance:
o Ensure the security of the M365 and Copilot environments, covering identity and access management, threat protection, information protection, and overall security management.
o Develop and enforce policies and procedures in collaboration with IT and security teams to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
o Conduct regular audits and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
* System Monitoring and Support:
o Monitor and maintain system health to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
o Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams, resolving issues related to M365, Purview, and Copilot services.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with the latest developments in cloud computing, Microsoft 365, Purview, and Copilot.
o Apply best practices to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
* At least 3 years working with Microsoft 365 and Purview.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Preferred Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365 and Purview (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator).
* Proven experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 services; strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including information protection, data governance, and compliance.
* Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
* Extensive experience in application and infrastructure design, with strong conceptual thinking skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with highly skilled technical professionals and business stakeholders in a cross-cultural environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex logical and interpersonal issues.
* Excellent communication skills with experience facilitating meetings and WebEx sessions.
* Capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment; quick to grasp new concepts.
* Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, and creative.
* Willingness to travel or work overtime as needed; fluency in English is required; international experience is a plus.

Location and Reporting
This role is a permanent, full-time position based in our London/ Berlin office, and reports into the Associate Director of Infrastructure Operations who is located in Berlin.
Our standard office hours in London are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
