My client is seeking an experienced COMPLIANCE OFFICER to support the delivery and development of compliance assurance activities, monitoring and reviewing upcoming changes in the regulatory environment to ensure business activities remain compliant. The successful role holder will also support with writing policies and procedures, as well as project support and the delivery of key information, data and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring up-to-date knowledge with regulatory developments (FCA, Data Protection, Financial Crime) and providing Horizon Scans to the relevant business units Respond on a timely basis to requests for information from the FCA or other regulatory body Assist with the planning and delivery of compliance monitoring and assurance activities. Review compliance policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory obligations, and ensuring this is reflected in training material Advise key stakeholders on regulatory matters impacting the business and the department, including recommendations for any actions required Help to ensure any Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) or data protection rights enquiries are managed in accordance with applicable requirements. Develop and maintain a strong operational knowledge of all business units within the UK, maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, all appropriate regulatory bodies and other relevant third parties (e.g. external advisors) as required Key Skills & Experience Required: Degree level or equivalent education or qualification Minimum 5-years relevant experience within a financial services compliance environment or working within an assurance / audit role in a Consumer Credit environment Experience of risk, compliance, and governance monitoring in a regulated financial services environment, ideally within a UK Consumer Credit business. Excellent inter-personal and communications skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to problem solve and think analytically.
