Job summary Saffron Health Partnership is looking for a Patient Liaison Officer (PLO) to join our Patient Services Team. The position is for 6 months to cover maternity leave working 35 hours a week working Monday to Friday in our Biggleswade and Sandy sites. Main duties of the job Answering, navigating and forwarding incoming phone calls, using a complex appointments system, in a large office, with many interruptions. Signposting patients to the most appropriate service. Greeting patients at a busy reception. Providing basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. Performing other clerical duties such as emailing, photocopying, and scanning documents. Accepting, issuing, and handing out letters, completed forms, specimen bottles. Advising patients of practice procedures. Handing out dispensed medication to patients when required. Registering new patients. About us We are a long-established surgery with over 22,000 patients. We a very friendly team serving patients from our 3 sites in Biggleswade, Sandy and Langford. The patient services team is made up of experienced and supportive team and led by the patient services manager. Day-to-day support will be given by a team leader.
