Cyfannol Women’s Aid is looking for people to join our Board of Trustees. Cyfannol embraces diversity and seeks to promote the benefits of diversity in all our business activities. What it takes to be a Trustee We are looking for people who: Believe in our Vision, Mission, Values and Ambition. Can bring their own unique insights, experiences, diversity of thought and skills to our Charity. Are willing to get involved, attend meetings, induction, training and other events Have a range of generic skills and knowledge to offer for example: finance, governance, legal, people/HR/culture, learning/development, marketing/communications, fundraising, housing, support sector, public sector, strategy, change management, policy, safeguarding, lived experience. Can commit approximately 4 hours/month to Cyfannol. Can attend meetings on a regular basis - The Trustee Board meet on the second Tuesday or Wednesday of each month normally from 5.30pm until approximately 7.30pm. We aim to meet once/quarter in person (Hybrid options are in place), usually in our head office in Pontypool and the rest of the meetings are on-line using Microsoft Teams Can work as part of a team in a supportive and empowering way. Are confident and capable of expressing opinion, constructively challenging and scrutinising the work and performance of the charity. MISSION To deliver across Gwent, a range of person-led and trauma-informed services to any person, particularly women or children, who have experienced any form of Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse, and Sexual Violence, regardless of their needs and the multiple disadvantages they face.
