The salary for this role is £50,000 to £55,000 per annum. The working hours are 35 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. This is a hybrid working position with 4 days per week in the office and 1 days working from home. Please note that due to our extensive induction program, a higher expectation of office attendance will be required in the first two months.
Requirements
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain operational stability, security and high availability of core infrastructure platforms (Azure Public Cloud, M365 Tenant etc)
* Maintain operational stability, security and high availability of LAN networking infrastructure (Switches, Wi-Fi AP etc)
* Develop and deliver effective technical solutions, aligned with the infrastructure strategy.
* Support development teams with infrastructure requirements for our key applications (Storm, Portal, D365)
* Administration of O365 and Azure platforms, along with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy management (Intune)
* Monitor and maintain all Backup and Recovery systems.
* Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate cybersecurity risks (ISO Standards, Cyber Essentials etc)
* Provide regular updates to IT Manager on the progress of active projects/tickets, including identification of recurring issues or potential risks and options for improvement.
* Provide training/guidance and support/mentoring to all members of IT Support and where appropriate the wider business.
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders (Azure MSP, Microsoft etc.) to ensure buy-in, maintain credibility, influence outcomes and manage expectations.
* Provide advanced technical support for complex customer queries and requests. Diagnosing and resolving technical incidents and requests and being proactive when dealing with issues.
* Contribute towards the current IT roadmap and be confident explaining this to the wider team.
* To assist with producing and maintaining I.T statistics, reports, checklists and other documentation as necessary
* Contribute towards Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity planning, testing and revisions/lessons learnt.
* To create and maintain knowledge base articles to enable consistent experience for the end user.
* Adopt a flexible approach to working hours to ensure the delivery of a customer centric IT support function working outside of normal hours when required.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
* Respond to OOO emergencies (server failures, space issues, user issues, application issues), in a timely manner, with quick escalation and fix.
Qualifications
Essential
GCSE Grades (C and above) or equivalent, including Maths and English
IT Level 3 Technician or similar
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or above
Desirable
ITIL 4 or similar relevant IT related qualification that aligns with the Key Accountabilities.
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
Essential
Strong knowledge of server administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent troubleshooting, fault finding and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
Good knowledge of Microsoft products including Office 365, Azure, and MDM.
Experience working in Azure Public Cloud including Azure Virtual Desktops.
Ability to deliver IT security training to the rest of the business when required.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
Flexible and adaptable to suit the needs of the business, including occasional work outside of contracted hours.
Ability to work as part of a team or individually as required.
