Working Pattern: Monday - Friday (40hrs Per week)

An exciting opportunity for a Menu Development Manager to work within our Marketing and Business & Industry divisions has arisen!
In this role, you will be working nationwide across our Business & Industry and Marketing divisions, providing catering services to clients within the workplace. As one of the largest and most innovative contract caterers in the industry, we specialise in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Our advanced technology, including pre-ordering options and in-app payment systems, ensures we meet the diverse tastes and dietary needs of over four million daily.
What you'll be doing...
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining innovative menu frameworks & menu formats for the specific sector, meeting the needs of the customer and the specific financial model. Engaging with all internal stakeholders to ensure the menu framework is understood and providing advice and guidance for implementation and successful business rollout.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Understanding the needs of the customers and clients in the B&I Sector.
2. Understanding current food trends and government legislation (Kcals, FIR Allergens, PPDS Natasha’s law).
3. Work closely with sector Development Chefs & Operators to ensure menus are rolled out and delivered to the required timelines.
4. Working closely with the marketing managers & trade marketing function to provide recipes to support sector-specific marketing activity.
5. Ongoing recipe development, fully innovating and testing to achieve the most suitable solution for each sector, ensuring cost and portion size is appropriate for the specific sector and the right product and right supplier is utilised to maximize purchasing benefit and commercial output.
6. Build menus for the sector in line with operational requirements, within the Star Chef menu management system, ensuring the recipes are easy to understand and deliver.
Due to this being a field-based role, you will be expected to travel to sites throughout the UK when required. This is also an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis. Company car and mileage are provided.

Experience and Knowledge:
1. Must be a real “Foodie” with knowledge of a wide variety of food styles & trends.
2. Meticulous and methodical, with a high attention to detail, particularly in relation to recipe building.
3. Patience, with a focus on seeing the job through to a conclusion.
4. Organised, with the ability to work to fixed deadlines.
5. Qualified and experienced as a Chef, having worked as a Head Chef as a minimum.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels.
7. Experience with a menu management system.
8. Proficient at using Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
