This is a post for a Band 4 Consultant PA providing a complete support service to the Emergency Department Consultants and Leadership team as required. Responsible for managing complex and sensitive business information and communication on behalf of the management team, solving problems and responding to unexpected demands.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Main duties of the job
* To provide a full comprehensive secretarial service to the Emergency Department Leadership, Consultant team and provide administrative support to the department, where required.
* Provide a point of reference for enquiries from the Consultant and senior management workforce.
* Communicates routine and potentially complex or sensitive information over the telephone, via email or other communication means.
* Provide general admin support shared by the admin team.
* Able to "manage upwards" and organise Consultants to ensure tasks are completed in order of priority.
* Articulate issues clearly and offer solutions.

Experience
* PA / Secretarial experience.
Qualifications
* GCSE in English or equivalent.
* Vocational level 3 or equivalent.
* Computer literate with word processing experience.
* Proven diary management skills.
* Minute taking skills.
Knowledge
* Understanding of secretarial procedures.
* Understanding of Microsoft Word.
