Position Overview: The Operations Analyst is responsible for empowering ASEL by transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive operational enhancements across diverse business areas. This role focuses on evaluating performance metrics, refining processes, and maintaining competitive pricing strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in a data-centric environment and possesses the analytical skills to turn information into actionable recommendations that support business growth.
Responsibilities & Requirements
* Operational Insights:
Examine data from various business units to identify patterns and provide insights aimed at optimising efficiency. For instance:
* Investigate customer call patterns in the service segment to pinpoint frequent issues and suggest targeted solutions.
* Analyse technician productivity, travel efficiency, and material usage to recommend improvements.
* Performance Metrics:
Generate detailed reports to track critical operational indicators, such as fuel consumption, fleet performance, and material costs, to identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
* Market Research:
Perform competitive analysis and market research to ensure that ASEL’s pricing remains strategic and aligned with industry standards.
* Financial Analysis:
Assist in the creation and refinement of financial models to ensure accurate cost distribution, pricing approaches, and profitability insights.
* Streamlining Business Processes:
Evaluate current workflows to uncover inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
* Collaboration:
Engage with various business departments to present data-driven findings that support effective decision-making.
Person Specification
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
* Education: Bachelor’s degree with relevance to business, data analytics, finance, economics, or a related field.
* Experience:
* Exposure to data analytics, operational reviews, or financial analysis.
* Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets to extract actionable insights.
* Experience in evaluating operational performance, controlling costs, and refining processes.
* Familiarity with market analysis and competitive intelligence is advantageous.
Skills And Competencies
* Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable strategies.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency with analytical and business intelligence tools (such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar).
* Financial Insight: Understanding of financial modelling and pricing tactics to support strategic initiatives.
* Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey analytical findings clearly and persuasively.
* Problem-Solving: Adept at diagnosing business challenges and recommending data-informed solutions.

This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel required to company offices, client meetings, and industry events. Some overnight stays and attendance at social events outside of normal working hours may be necessary.
