This role will be a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract starting in July 2025 and will be paid London living wage.

The International Format team primary function is to enable the global distribution teams to sell Sony Pictures Television's (SPT) catalogue of scripted and unscripted formats across the globe via Sony’s own International Production Companies, and via the Territory Sales teams to 3rd party producers, broadcasters, platforms and sponsors.
We are tasked with fully exploiting the formats to maximise revenues both on and off-screen and build global brands that will sustain the business into the future.
This is a valuable and rare opportunity to gain insight into the global television market and the intricacies of selling and adapting TV formats with one of the biggest Production companies.
This internship offers a chance to gain experience in multiple groups of the International Formats team; Digital & Licensing, International Production, Format Marketing, Sales and Product.
What you'll do:
1. Digital & Licensing: Social Media research projects for key talent and products, and commercial modelling
2. Digital & Licensing: Beta Testing of digital products in development
3. International production: Format research of the history of adaptation of classic catalogue titles across territories (specifically, The Newlywed Game, The Dating Game, Brainiest and others as needed).
4. International Production: Format adaptation research by territory, including key talent (host, contributors, Sharks / Dragons) and off-screen talent such as genre specialist producers and show runners.
5. Format marketing & sales: support in the tailoring of decks (presentations) for selected scripted and unscripted format pitches
6. Format Sales: Client research ahead of key client touch points such as MIPCOM.
7. International Formats: update Format Life Cycle Report
8. Product Pipeline tracker: updating and circulating development & acquisition
What you have:
1. Highly numerate & computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) – must be very adaptable and confident with computer systems (particularly databases).
2. Experienced and familiar with all forms of new media, including social media platforms
3. Highly organised with the ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines whilst maintaining strong attention to detail.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proactive, enthusiastic and confident team player.

1. Distribution Channels: Gain insights into the various platforms where TV content is distributed, including traditional television, streaming services, and digital platforms.
2. Production Processes: Learn about the various stages of rolling out a TV format, covering the pre-production, production, and post-production stages.
3. Licensing and Rights Management: Understand the complexities of licensing rights for different territories and platforms.
4. Marketing and Promotion: Learn how TV shows and movies are marketed and promoted to attract audiences
5. Content Acquisition: Learn how companies acquire new content, whether through original production, licensing, or co-production deals.
