Data Insight Analyst / Researcher who has excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, best practice with regards to market research methodologies and experience gathering data and data analysis is required for an organisation based in Coventry, West Midlands.
SALARY: £37,682 - £43,429 pro rata + Excellent Benefits
BENEFITS: Pro-rata of 22 days holiday plus no less than a total of 15 days at Christmas, Easter, New Year, May Day, Spring and Late Summer bank holidays or days in lieu thereof, a dedicated wellbeing programme, cycle to work scheme, employee assistance programme, substantial pension scheme and salary extras.
LOCATION: Hybrid working is available working 2 days per week from home.

WORKING HOURS: 36.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 3.30pm on Fridays. Flexibility of working hours is reasonably required from time to time to meet the requirements of the post. This includes occasional evenings and weekends.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Insight Analyst/Researcher who has excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, best practice with regards to market research methodologies and experience gathering data and data analysis.
Working as the Data Insight Analyst / Researcher you will develop and deliver a programme of research and insight to better understand the views and key issues affecting students.
As the Data Insight Analyst / Researcher you will develop and lead the implementation of the organisation’s research and insight strategy and activities, providing insightful market research for use across all departments, analysing and presenting findings, and making recommendations for action.
DUTIES
* Develop and deliver high-quality research and analysis that assists in shaping and influencing policy and direction to improve user experience.
* Work in partnership to incorporate focused research, consultation, and co-creation activities into projects.
* Responsible for designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research.
* Become a trusted expert on research and analysis on all forms of engagement.
* Support and guide Full-Time and Part-Time Officers to engage with user-led research and maintain robust systems and processes for capturing and analysing datasets.
* Co-ordinate and deliver key research and analysis projects.
* Deliver and analyse the outcomes of research through appropriate data presentation and analysis methods.
* Produce briefings for Officers and staff across the organisation on relevant research findings and support them to incorporate these in work.
* Work with the communications and marketing team to ensure key outcomes from research activities are fed back to users in an appropriate and timely manner.
* Develop predictive models/segmentations using statistical methodologies and techniques to solve issues such as targeting, to support a direct marketing programme. Identify new opportunities in the areas of members’ engagement and retention.
* Statistically analyse data, checking for accuracy and identifying themes.
* Prepare, present, and disseminate results through verbal presentations and written reports.
* Perform detailed analysis of membership insight to aid the development of the organisation’s strategy.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
* Degree or equivalent.
* Excellent knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
* Excellent knowledge of best practice with regards to market research methodologies.
* Experience of working within a data insight or market research role or project.
* Experience of designing and delivering some of the following: surveys, focus groups, interviews, workshops or other relevant research and consultation activities.
* Data gathering and data analysis.
* Demonstrable skills in project management, planning and organisation.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Planning and organisational skills.
* Creativity in problem-solving.
* Analytical ability: qualitative and quantitative.
* Strong IT skills: knowledge of the Microsoft 365 packages.
* Teamwork skills including cooperation and collaboration.
* Sound judgement and tact, good listening skills.
* Effective report-writing and presentation skills.
* Ability to build relationships and networks with stakeholders.
DESIRABLE
* Market Research Society (MRS) advanced certificate or diploma.
* Knowledge of the HE Sector and/or HE practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Charities Act, Data Protection Act and good governance practice.
* Understanding of the student movement and of student priorities.
* Demonstrable political sensitivity and diplomacy.
* Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
* Experience of a non-for-profit environment.
