We are looking for an enthusiastic Cardiology Consultant to join our team based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. Strong cardiology skills will augment the high-quality service delivered to the population of Fife by six other consultant cardiologists and our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. As a large District General Hospital with excellent links to tertiary centres in Lothian, Tayside and Glasgow as well as neighbouring universities and medical schools, we can accommodate a wide range of subspecialty interests.

• A colleague who is passionate about Cardiology, who can use their subspecialty expertise to improve the care and experience of our patients.
• Subspecialty cardiac imaging knowledge and skills (particularly cardiac CT and TOE) in order to further develop our clinical services.

• A variety of specialist clinics including Heart Failure, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiac Obstetrics and Rapid Access Chest Pain assessment.
• Multi-modality imaging (TTE, TOE, CTCA and Cardiac MRI)
• Access to coronary intervention in neighbouring tertiary centres
• On site bradycardia pacing, with complex devices implanted in Lothian
• Access to electrophysiology procedures
• Structural intervention in Lothian and Glasgow.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training to Non-UK Applicants must demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and experience required for practising as an eligible specialist in the UK.
