The role is to lead the Patient Pathway team who are responsible for an integral part of the patient pathway. Coordinating the team on a daily basis ensuring they undertake tasks essential to the smooth and effective provision of quality care; providing an efficient level of service for patients and their families. The role will ensure the team works within the priorities and expectations set out by the Outpatient Management team; regularly reporting team progress and output. It is essential the post holder exercises people managements skills, initiative and judgement whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times. The team lead is the person to whom complex patients are escalated and will also make decisions where appropriate.
