Job summary The role can be virtual; you will be expected to communicate to patients, parents and carers via phone, email and virtual platforms. The paediatric department currently consists of a team of 6 Dietitians. We are an integral part of an award winning diabetes service and provided dietetic support to inpatients and outpatients across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. Main duties of the job Are you interested in having flexibility and a varied caseload along with developing and refreshing your dietetic knowledge and skills in our progressive, supportive and forward thinking team? We are looking for band 6 dietitian to join our bank to support our paediatric team and to help manage our paediatric outpatient caseload for a 5 month period. You will be covering clinics which have packages of care for allergy, faltering growth, general, weight management and restrictiv The successful applicant will have a varied and challenging caseload requiring excellent interpersonal skills including observation, active listening and excellent verbal communication skills. You will need to work as part of a team and liaise with professionals at all levels, be able to prioritise your workload, be flexible and assertive. e diets. About us We are a large friendly department based on 2 sites; Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) & Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH). Within the department at GRH we have a team of adult Renal Dietitians, Acute Dietitians plus a separately funded Home Enteral Feed Team (HEFT). At CGH we have a team of Oncology Dietitians plus the Acute team. We also have a Nutrition Team, a Specialist Gastroenterology Team and Specialist Diabetes dietitians working on both hospital sites.
