Join our experienced team of engine builders working on a variety of both turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines, used across a broad range of applications. During the apprenticeship, you will be taught through on-the-job training and college leave to attain a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

Day to day role responsibilities will include:
* Stripping and cleaning engine assemblies
* Assembly of sub-assemblies
* Inspection and testing of components
* Record keeping (build records & components tested)
* Facility maintenance

* Comply with engineering standards and regulations. For example, British Standards (BS), International Organisation for Standardisation standards (ISO). European Norm (EN).
* Analyse engineering and manufacturing data and information to support technical outputs. For example, read and interpret text, data, engineering drawings, work instructions, method statements, operation manuals.
* Apply scientific, technical or engineering principles.
* Apply problem solving techniques to solutions for identified technical problems.
* Organise, plan and prioritise workflow and scheduling of work with stakeholders.

Your training plan
* The succesful apprentice will be working towards an industry recognised Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard including an EAL Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and manufacturing support technologies
* All college attendance will be at Colchester Institute at our Colchester Campus one day per week
* The final apprenticeship completion certificate will be issued on achievement of the above qualification and successful completion of end point assessment
