About the role:
Why we need you:
You will join our Store Deployment team, responsible for provisioning services, equipment, and software for our retail stores across the UK and Ireland. You will work with a team of experts to shape and maintain Holland & Barrett's store portfolio, assisting with new stores, refits, and closures. The team collaborates closely with the core verticals within the IT operations division to ensure the successful delivery of retail estate projects.
Holland & Barrett is on an ambitious mission to transform our retail estate through a comprehensive store refit program over the next 12 months. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks will be vital to ensure each store's readiness within deadlines.
What you'll be doing:
* Collaborate with estates, retail, and property teams to identify suitable locations for new stores.
* Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resources for each deployment.
* Oversee the delivery of technology equipment to the retail estate.
* Coordinate with vendors to ensure technology aligns with brand and operational needs.
* Manage procurement and delivery of IT equipment, including POS systems, tablets, and handheld terminals, ensuring assets are tracked and ready for deployment.
* Maintain an inventory of deployment stock with accurate asset location records.
* Coordinate setup of POS systems, inventory management software, and other technologies essential for store operations.
* Conduct initial inspections to verify procurement and operational readiness of technology.
* Manage logistical aspects of store openings, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating installations, and monitoring snag lists.
* Create and maintain documentation related to store openings, such as checklists and timelines, and resolve issues promptly.
* Provide ongoing support during the hypercare phase, troubleshooting issues and facilitating communication with resolution teams.
* Gather stakeholder feedback before store launches and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Our team is primarily based at our Nuneaton headquarters, but occasional travel to stores nationwide may be required.
Key requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience in project coordination, preferably in retail or a related industry.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with teams and vendors.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Problem-solving skills and adaptability.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* Ability to work proactively and independently, as well as collaboratively.
* Flexibility to travel and work extended hours during critical deployment phases.
Additional desirable skills include experience with retail systems, POS peripherals, and project management or automation skills.
