Staff Nurse (Oncology Outpatients and CIAB Services)

Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual who is looking to expand their knowledge in the holistic care of patients undergoing treatments for a wide range of cancers and medical conditions. You will join the oncology team who specialise in oncology and radiotherapy patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience within oncology nursing. Ideally you will be competent at delivering systemic anti cancer therapy, but training would be provided for the right candidate. You will be expected to be able to use transferrable skills and work between clinic and CIAB services. You will be expected to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative and will be positively encouraged to recognise and develop service improvement.
In return you will be working within a proactive, dynamic team, supporting delivery of a first class service and will have the opportunity to positively influence care for cancer patients and their families.
There is an expectation that you will rotate within the day unit departments to support your development and service provision.
Person specification
Knowledge and Skills
* A team player able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team objectives.
Experience
* Experience working within an acute or Community setting.
* Experience of Multi-disciplinary working
* Chemotherapy competencies.
Education & Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Adult Nurse
* Current NMC registration.
Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
