Senior Project Manager - Rail Sector
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Senior Project Manager in Manchester, with a focus on rail, civils, and structures. This contract role is set within a dynamic and evolving sector, promising substantial career development potential over a 3-4 year project timeline. The ideal candidate will manage complex projects under NEC3/4 conditions, benefiting from a hybrid working arrangement and outside IR35 status.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and implementation of project management strategies in rail infrastructure projects.
Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.
Record and manage project issues and escalate where necessary.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory provisions governing rail system safety.
Required Skills:
Rail: Extensive knowledge of rail systems and operations to efficiently manage related projects.
Civils: Deep understanding of civil engineering practices essential for handling structural aspects of rail projects.
Structures: Ability to oversee the construction or repair of railway structures, ensuring quality and safety.
NEC3/4: Proficient in applying NEC contract suite standards to ensure project compliance and effective management.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills to lead project teams towards achieving contractual deliverables.This position offers an initial 6 months rolling contract, with potential extensions reflecting performance and project evolution.
