The role:
We are undergoing a finance transformation project and therefore this role is key to contributing to the successful rollout of the ERP system.
You will assist the Head of management accounting to deliver the Management Accounts for internal and external stakeholders of the organisation, to aid strategic decision-making.
You will strive for continuous improvement and encourage the Management Accounting team to improve process control, quality of data input & output, and improve accuracy of postings.
It will be important to foster collaboration across the other teams within the Finance department to ensure opportunities to improve finance systems, processes and client service are identified and addressed.

* Experience in finance and accounting.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
* Professional certification (such as ACCA or CIMA).
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Preparation of accurate monthly/quarterly Management Accounts with relevant insights/commentary (P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow).
* Prepare and review reconciliations to verify the accuracy of the management accounts, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L.
* Approval of journals.
* Continuously monitor financial KPIs, P&L, cash position and balance sheet, identifying variances and recommending areas for improvement.
* Preparation and review of monthly reporting packs and production and review of ad hoc reporting as requested.
* Business partner with internal stakeholders (FP&A, Internal audit and Financial reporting teams) to assist with their decision-making.
* Assist in the delivery of and consolidation of management accounts.
* Carry out in-depth analysis to improve the accuracy of revenue and cost accruals.
* Provide support in response to external and internal audit requests.
* Business partnering with FP&A team on cost analysis and assistance in preparing for board packs.
