Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of seriously ill children? Bamboo Fundraising Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with Spread a Smile, who transform hospital stays into magical moments of joy and connection. Through magicians, musicians, therapy dogs, and more, they bring light to some of the darkest times for children and their families. Now, we’re looking for a passionate, visionary Head of Fundraising/Partnerships to lead their mission forward. This is your chance to join a growing charity with big ambitions. In 2024/25, they’re setting their sights on raising £1.9 million to spread more smiles than ever before. As their Head of Fundraising, you’ll lead the charge—driving innovative strategies, inspiring a talented team, and building lasting partnerships. What’s in it for you? A meaningful mission: Every pound you raise will help create unforgettable moments for seriously ill children. A supportive environment: Work closely with a dynamic, caring team in their London office (minimum three days per week). Growth opportunities: Shape and grow a multi-channel fundraising strategy while mentoring a team of five passionate fundraisers. Competitive package: Earn £50,000–£60,000, enjoy 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays and extra days at Christmas). What you’ll do: Develop and execute an ambitious, multi-channel fundraising strategy that spans corporate, individual, and community giving. Inspire and lead a team of five, fostering their growth and ensuring exceptional results. Build and nurture relationships with donors, supporters, and partners, ensuring they stay connected to our mission. Take ownership of financial planning and reporting, ensuring they’re on track to hit their £1.9m target. Ensure all fundraising activities align with best practices, compliance standards, and the high ethical standards their donors expect. What we’re looking for: You’re more than just a fundraiser—you’re a leader, a motivator, and a creative thinker. You bring: 5 years’ experience in fundraising management, with a track record of delivering ambitious results. Ideally, a corporate fundraising aficionado. A proven ability to inspire and lead teams, fostering both individual and collective success. Expertise in building relationships, managing budgets, and driving impactful strategies. Outstanding communication and networking skills, paired with an innovative, self-motivated spirit.
