1. Lead the configuration, administration, and optimization of ServiceNow SAM Pro to track, manage, and report on software assets across the organization.
2. Design, implement, and refine the SAM Pro module to align with business objectives and ensure accurate asset tracking, license management, and compliance.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow SAM Pro configurations, integrations, and workflows.
License Management & Compliance:
1. Work with the ServiceNow SAM Pro tool to ensure the organization's software usage is in compliance with vendor contracts and licensing agreements.
2. Monitor software license consumption, optimize license usage, and identify potential savings opportunities through accurate usage tracking.
3. Support software audits (internal and vendor-driven) by providing data from ServiceNow SAM Pro, ensuring readiness for compliance reviews and audits.
Data Integration & Reconciliation:
1. Manage integration between ServiceNow SAM Pro and other IT asset management tools, discovery tools, and enterprise systems (e.g., SCCM, discovery tools, cloud environments).
2. Oversee data reconciliation between ServiceNow SAM Pro and actual software usage, ensuring that software inventories are up-to-date and accurate.
3. Ensure proper data flows between SAM Pro and procurement systems, to facilitate seamless license management from purchase to deployment and retirement.
Reporting & Insights:
1. Develop and maintain regular SAM reports and dashboards within ServiceNow SAM Pro, providing actionable insights on software inventory, license utilization, and compliance.
2. Create custom reports as needed for management, highlighting risks, opportunities for optimization, and potential cost savings in software licensing.
3. Analyze software usage patterns and provide strategic recommendations for license optimization and cost reduction.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
1. Work with internal teams, including procurement, finance, IT operations, and legal, to ensure the effective management of software assets throughout their lifecycle.
2. Partner with vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate records of software purchases, renewals, and usage rights are maintained in ServiceNow.
3. Provide subject matter expertise on ServiceNow SAM Pro to educate and guide internal stakeholders on best practices, process improvements, and compliance requirements.
Process Improvement:
1. Continuously assess and improve ServiceNow SAM Pro workflows, processes, and integrations, seeking to automate manual tasks, reduce errors, and increase operational efficiency.
2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing best practices in software asset management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Expertise in configuring and administering ServiceNow SAM Pro to manage software assets, licenses, and compliance.
2. Strong understanding of the integration between ServiceNow and other tools like SCCM, discovery tools, and enterprise systems for asset tracking and management.
3. Solid understanding of software licensing models (e.g., per user, per device, subscription-based) and experience applying these models within ServiceNow SAM Pro.
4. Experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboard creation, including building custom reports and queries using ServiceNow's reporting tools.

1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address software asset management issues.
2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:
1. Knowledge of software license management tools and processes, specifically within ServiceNow SAM Pro.
2. Experience managing software audits and liaising with vendors to ensure compliance.
3. Familiarity with cloud-based software licensing and asset management (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
