Nightshift Bellows/ADR Assembly Operator

We are now looking for a
Nightshift Bellows/ADR Assembly Operator
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Havant, on a night shift basis.
What you will be doing
The Assembly team has a sub-cell for manufacturing Omega Bellows Spring assemblies. The finished Bellows are then used in Main Seal Assemblies or shipped as spares. This is a single operator cell involving Bench, Oven and Spray Booth operations.
Flexibility is key for this position with a wide variety of duties to be carried out in a safe accurate manner working to our OTIF target.
As Nightshift Bellows/ADR Assembly Operator, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
* Manual Assembly of Springs into Jig assemblies.
* Powder Coating of Omega Spring components.
* Marshalling of spring sets to ensure the correct quantity/quality to specification.
* Communicate with all ops teams to ensure proactive actions are taken to meet OTIF.
* Continuous improvement relating to process and procedures.
* All duties carried out in a safe manner following WDSL H&S safety procedures.
* Any other duties that may be required.
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
* Must have experience reading engineering drawings.
* Mechanically astute with 5yrs experience in an Engineering environment.
* A patient person, with a can-do attitude who is willing to learn.
* Flexible approach to working environments/hours.
* Physically fit with good manual dexterity (moulding with hands)
* Willing to work with heavier items (within HSE guidelines)
* Able to work with fibreglass (tape) & chemicals (resin mixing)
* Brazing experience beneficial but non-essential
* Experience of working in a production environment.
* An Understanding of Health & Safety environment/procedures.
* Mechanical/assembly aptitude with process adherence experience.
* Able to work on time sensitive projects (within 3-4-hour process)
* Read and understand drawings, with accurate measuring/marking out experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively with supervision/teams in single man cell.
* Ideally educated to college standard or solid experience working in manufacturing industry.
