Job Description:
We are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with CAD Technicians at various career levels based in the Severn Trent region with hybrid working available. PERMANENT OR CONTRACT POSITIONS AVAILABLE.
To respond to the growing demand to improve further the water quality in our rivers and bathing waters and to increase potable water capacity, our client is courageously preparing to play its part as one of the UK’s leading Design and Build Contractors in the Water Industry.
Our client's service to its client, Severn Trent, continues to flourish into AMP8, whether that is to extend Leicester's largest sewage treatment works to meet expected growth in the catchment or by delivering cutting edge technology in water treatment to build capacity in the East Grid strategic potable water supply, or by maximising renewable energy from our human waste.
You will report directly to the Regional Discipline (Mechanical) Lead and you will be responsible for the coordination, delivery and quality of drawing work undertaken at the office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure designs are completed in accordance with the customer Engineering specifications, Water Industry Specifications and HSE Regulations.
2. Manage CAD 3D/2D workload.
3. Manage Digital Delivery.
4. Coordination of design outputs across all technical disciplines.
5. Raising and resolution of technical queries.
6. Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote digital design, buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs.
About The Candidate
Essential:
1. Experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
2. 2D drafting skills, qualifications and experience.
3. 3D modelling skills, qualifications and experience.
4. Autodesk Revit and other 3D applications skills, qualifications and experience.
5. Bentley Projectwise experience.
6. Broad experience in the use and application of common engineering software and IT.
7. Working and theoretical understanding of 3D modelling standards and QA processes.
8. Self-starter, curious and inquiring nature with key interest in the detail of how civil structures come together.
9. Must be delivery driven with the ability to set targets and manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver to time, cost and quality objectives.
