Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Inverness
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000
Job Description
Our client has opportunities for expansion to meet the current healthy forward workload generated by the impetus for growth in the UK within the commercial, retail, industrial and housing sectors.
The Infrastructure team at their Inverness office operates from a state of the art open plan, air conditioned office.
Their Infrastructure team specialise in providing sustainable development infrastructure solutions to mainly private sector clients in both the UK and overseas. The team also works closely with other disciplines to provide integrated solutions on high profile multi-disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Significant recent experience in all civil-related design aspects of large-scale logistics development projects.
2. Experience in highways, external works, earthworks modelling and drainage for commercial sector projects.
3. Highway and drainage design and bulk earthworks modelling with a working knowledge of UK design standards.
4. Manage projects, attend meetings and liaise with clients, design teams, and third-party representatives.
5. Proven report writing (FRA, drainage strategy, specification, Technical Notes etc.) and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience within the UK.
2. Aspiration to gain Incorporated or Chartered status.
3. Private sector experience and a working knowledge in the use of Civil3D, Causeway Flow & Microdrainage, Autocad, Autotrack (vehicle swept path analysis) and Navisworks.
4. PDS line and sign design experience would also be beneficial.
5. Experience in producing designs that can be incorporated to BIM Level 2 status.
6. Ability to undertake 3D coordination with the design team.
This is a permanent position in the Inverness office.
