We’d like to hear from you Your role as a Private Client Tax Consultant We are recruiting a Private Client Tax Consultant to join a highly supportive and conscientious tax team, to deliver the highest standard of compliance work in a professional and supportive manner. Key Responsibilities Preparation of tax returns and PD11d’s on behalf of clients. Dealing with basic tax matters of behalf of clients. Contact with HMRC and other third parties and necessary. Contact with clients to deal with queries arising when preparing annual tax returns and in dealing with their current affairs on an annual basis. To manage a portfolio of clients to ensure that all tax returns are prepared and submitted to HMRC by the due dates. Checking PAYE codes and statements on behalf of clients. Calculation of client’s tax liabilities, together with a reconciliation of tax due. Manage the WIP (Work In Progress) on your client portfolio, ensuring that all fees are raised and issued to the client on the completion of work. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise At least five years practical experience or preparing tax returns. Efficient use of the tax software used for the preparation of annual tax returns. Being aware of basic tax planning opportunities and implementing these with the clients. An understanding of the tax system, being aware of the due dates for submission of annual tax returns and payment due dates. Demonstrate a high commitment to excellent client service and takes ownership of the role. Ability to prioritise own workload. Awareness of the penalties applicable for missing submission deadlines.
