Job summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Administrative Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team at Yeovil District Hospital (YDH). The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative and typist duties as the service develops. This is a part time position (16 hours) ideally over 3 days but would consider 2 days for the right applicant. Main duties of the job If you are an an excellent team player who is able to organise and prioritise effectively, then this could be the role for you. You'll take a supportive role in providing all aspects of general administration and clerical work for the Gastroenterology department including, but not exclusively: Taking telephone calls Managing generic emails Incoming and outcoming post Typing of clinical correspondence Tracking of investigations Updating and maintaining spreadsheets Uploading of referrals Contribute to service development by participating in team meetings. Provide cover during periods of absence for other Administrative Assistants and other members of the team.
