Integrated Care Clinician (Nurse)
The post holder will undertake telephone triage assessments of patients efficiently and advise on the most appropriate intervention to meet patient needs using best clinical practice, adhering to Trust Policy, protocols, and guidelines.
Will work in an autonomous capacity, assessing and advising callers within agreed guidelines.
NHS 111 Wales provides access to urgent out-of-hours care, 24-hour health information, and urgent dental services.
Main duties of the job
The role involves drawing upon clinical assessment skills to help and advise a broad spectrum of patients, from minor ailments to complex urgent conditions, in a remote clinical decision-making environment.
As a Band 6 Triage and Assessment nurse, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions but will be supported by experienced senior clinicians and multi-disciplinary colleagues.

Person specification
Qualifications
* NMC Registered Nurse (adult or Child) or HCPC Registered Paramedic with relevant clinical practice experience.
* Evidence of undertaking regular update training and continuous personal/professional development.
Experience
* Strong listening and communication skills
* Team working with a collaborative style
* Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions
* Sound clinical decision-making capabilities
* High levels of current clinical knowledge and computer literacy
Aptitude and Abilities
* Committed to ongoing training and development including mandatory updates.
* Ability to work under own initiative without direct supervision.
* Flexibility to work a rotating shift system including nights and weekends.
