Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in accident repair paint refinishing. The Vehicle Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our service department.
Responsibilities
1. Perform timely, accurate repairs as per estimates and insurance company guidelines, helping to maximise Bodyshop sales.
2. Complete all work to the highest standard of quality, minimising rework and ensuring customer satisfaction.
3. Identify and report any additional damage not listed on initial work instructions.
4. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure the timely removal of damaged parts.
5. Complete required documentation to company standards.
6. Ensure adherence to Bodyshop systems, procedures, and company policies.
7. Work collaboratively as part of the Bodyshop team and respond positively to requests from the Bodyshop Manager or Supervisor.
8. Comply with Manufacturer and Insurer standards and requirements.
9. Follow all relevant Health & Safety protocols.
10. Use materials and products economically to reduce waste and costs.
11. Complete all tasks within agreed timeframes.
Skills
1. ATA accreditation preferred.
2. Preparation and priming of a new / repaired panel to first masking stage.
3. Polishing.
4. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repair and maintenance.
5. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
8. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and customers.
