Junior Buyer
Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security industry, is currently seeking a Supply Chain Advisor to join their team. This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months, based at Portsmouth Naval Base. The role requires you to work 3 days a week, with Wednesdays being mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide supply chain support within the Maritime Services sector
2. Work closely with the team to ensure smooth operations and efficient supply chain management
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address supply chain issues
4. Assist with procurement activities and supplier relationship management
5. Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes
6. Utilize SAP and Microsoft tools for data management and analysis
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in supply chain or purchasing
2. Knowledge of SAP is desirable, but training can be provided
3. Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively within a team
Additional Information:
Our client offers a supportive team culture and encourages activities outside of work. Please note that there is no lift access to the second floor. This role involves providing support for warship operations.
