The CTO at i6 will be an experienced technical strategist and implementer, putting our products and customers at the forefront of our technical solutions. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the CTO will be hands-on in driving the engineering practice towards innovative, robust and scalable solutions. Responsibilities: Responsible for driving the commercial success of the Technology function by aligning technology and business objectives and ensuring that all tech initiatives contribute to sustainable revenue growth and profitability. Grow and mature the engineering teams so i6 can deliver to market opportunities in a timely fashion to achieve business growth. Own, Oversee creation and delivery of product development strategy to ensure i6 market resilience both now and in the future. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and truly global to achieve the business’ objectives. Ensure team and individual performance are working collaboratively, delivering to a high standard and developing the business capability. Develop a proactive, thoughtful and motivated team with a culture in line with i6 values who deliver quality solutions within committed timescales. Hands on technical leadership to design and build reliable, scalable, secure and fault tolerant systems, leading and collaborating with Heads of and technical leads Driving development of Company product strategy, innovating current offering towards a model that is highly scalable and produces business growth Overseeing Product & Development teams and their quality of output, ensuring they work collaboratively and efficiently to pre-determined and approved Company standards, adhering to Company values, and fulfilling customer needs. Leading with Product teams to utilise competitor information, review and analyse market advancements and translate those into relevant business technology/ product action plans. Providing technical leadership to development, cloud infrastructure, system integration, qa automation, data and security and reporting on key progress, any commercial concerns and suggested solutions to the Leadership/Executive team Supporting the attraction, development and retention of a team of technical experts offering day to day technical support and thought leadership Leading a multi-skilled technology and product engineering function to deliver a global cloud platform and suite of web and mobile products. Attending Board meetings as and when required, chairing Monthly Executive/Operations meetings as and when required, representing the technology and product development function, working alongside other Department leaders to ensure product and technology strategy alignment to the overall Company strategy. Creating and implementing standards and processes as necessary to achieve world-class team performance/delivery Maintaining, developing and reporting on our data and platform security approach and processes Where necessary, overseeing negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and tech consultant contracts and service agreements Developing and managing the technology budget. Optimising the allocation of resources to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. Support the attraction, development and retention of a team of technical experts offering day to day technical support and thought leadership Person Experience as a CTO, VP, director, or similar leadership role to include leading, developing and coaching a technology team Experience of agile transformation and continuously improving efficiency in ways of working Proven experience (8years) of software engineering, with software development in SaaS and mobile product environment Proven experience of building a significant scale data business as a priority alongside software Substantial proven experience of owning and growing a product engineering capability into a global, world class operation. Strength of character to lead and effect change within the business as needed Self-motivated to identify and implement any necessary improvements to current methodology & processes Demonstrable experience of implementing required controls, process, governance to ensure a right first time approach to product engineering. Experience developing and implementing infrastructure and data strategies with previous experience of NoSQL technologies (MongoDB preferred), Kubernetes and cloud native concepts. Strong experience of the MERN stack technologies and PHP on the Symfony framework is essential.
