A mainstream secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an individual suited to a pastoral support/behaviour mentor position to work on a full-time basis supporting the most vulnerable and disengaged pupils within the school.
Teaching Personnel works closely with the school in the B37 area and has a great working relationship with the school staff.
Location: Birmingham, B37
Pay: £95-110 (per day dependent upon experience)
Hours: Full Time
Start date: ASAP
Our ideal candidate will:
1. have previous experience in a pastoral or behaviour mentor role
2. have experience working within schools
3. have experience supporting or working with children with special educational needs or social, emotional and mental health
4. be confident supporting the most vulnerable children
5. work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis to achieve the best outcomes for individuals
6. have great communication skills and show empathy and compassion
7. have the ability to build strong relationships and provide emotional support
8. have a strong awareness of safeguarding and how to escalate these issues
