Financial Controller Base to £130,000 (5 days in the office) Private Family Office with a portfolio of residential land and retail assets is looking for an experienced Financial Controller as they transition into a development phase and asset management. You will report to the CEO managing a small team covering the following Oversee all financial processes including financial reporting, accounting, taxation, and invoicing. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards. Prepare the budget at the beginning of the year and monitor this on a quarterly basis Raise a quarterly management fee to the various income producing SPVs to recoup the general overhead of the management company in the group Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to align with company goals and objectives. Manage external audits Handle quarterly and monthly VAT and annual corporate tax returns. Prepare payroll for the respective management companies Provide guidance on complex accounting issues from transaction/investment activities. Stay updated on real estate industry trends and economic developments. Monitor changes in accounting regulations, assess their impact, and implement necessary changes. Ensure robustness of internal controls. Assist the Investment and Asset Management teams with various financial projects Develop robust payment processes to ensure they are made correctly and on a timely basis. Work alongside banking partners and assist with sourcing debt. To be considered for this number one role in finance, you should be a qualified accountant with in-depth knowledge of the real estate development sector, proven experience with financial reporting, taxation, audit, IFRS and comfortable with five days a week in the office.
