Job summary The post holders main responsibility will be to process requests for repeat prescriptions and provide an efficient and safe system of reauthorisation of repeat medication, liaising with all relevant parties, including direct contact with patients and other health care professionals regarding medication queries. Deal with online requests and telephone calls. Deal with Docman letters and tasks. Create and monitor Zoladex register, liaising with nurses. Liaise with patients and local pharmacies. Order prescription stationary from PCSE. Work closely with admin to ensure chronic disease reviews are undertaken, and medication checks, monitoring and reviews are not outstanding. Work with clinical pharmacists and technicians to keep up to date with prescribing changes. To monitor specific drugs for overuse and report to the relevant GP. Provide regular prescribing updates to the practice management team. To prioritise workload, ensuring work is carried out in a timely manner.
