Summary
We are looking to recruit two bright, enthusiastic individuals to join the maintenance team as Electrical Engineering Apprentices based at the Carlisle site. The successful candidates will spend their first year on a full time basic technical course, before returning to Pirelli for a structured in-house training programme (with day release).
Annual wage
£16,144 a year
There will be annual pay increases during the scheme and after successful completion.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Attend college and attain highest grades possible.
* Learn and develop skills knowledge and behaviours required to become a qualified maintainer through rotation between mini factories.
* Maintenance of factory machinery and equipment under the supervision of qualified maintainers.
* Communicate effectively with maintainers and wider maintenance team.
* Carry out placement in PED & Quality departments.
* Attend regular reviews for with both college and Pirelli and ensure required progression through each stage of process.
* Flexible, available and keen to work various shift patterns, work beyond standard hours on planned work or unplanned breakdowns and other company events.
* Ensuring adherence to Company policy and statutory regulations especially in areas of Health, Safety and Engineering practice.

The successful candidates will spend their first year on a full time basic technical course, carrying out NVQ level 2 & BTEC ONC learning the basic skills and achieving the best grade possible to be ready to be integrated into our maintenance team within the factory.
The remainder of the 4 year modern apprenticeship will combine a structured in-house training programme incorporating day release studies. This will lead to a Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance.
