About the role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic leader, someone who is tenacious and passionate with the ability to connect with those they meet and build meaningful and productive working relationships. Your key responsibilities as the Registered Manager:
As the Registered Manager you will have full autonomy of your home, you’ll be integral to the smooth running of daily life within your home, enabling young people to thrive. You will inspire and lead your team to manage a warm and friendly home that provides a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes whilst also achieving compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and ensuring your home is always able to evidence a high standard of care and quality. You will be responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your homes.
You will lead a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development so that they not only provide high-quality care and support, but are enabled to fulfil their own career potential too. You will be supported by our Recruitment Team in the recruitment of a compassionate and motivated team, and help build a fantastic workplace culture where colleagues feel valued and rewarded for the work that they do. You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create. Responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your homes.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (Residential Childcare)
2. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above.
3. Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and behavioural problems
4. Full UK Driving license
5. Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations, Quality Standards, the Children’s Act, Children Act alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes
