Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse operations, including picking, dispatching and receiving automotive tyres as well as knowledge of stock management. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and containers safely and efficiently.
* Accurately pick and pack orders for dispatch.
* Maintain an organized stock area, ensuring all items are stored correctly and easily accessible.
* Utilise warehouse management system to track and move stock locations throughout the warehouse.
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
* Perform regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
* Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating various warehouse equipment.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
* Ability to perform materials handling tasks safely and effectively.
* Capability to engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
* A proactive attitude towards teamwork and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
