Job Description
Our service based in Knox Gardens is looking for a passionate and caring Educator for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time position at 6 hours per week all year round - the perfect balance!
Shift times will be Monday - Wednesday 3pm - 5pm (Stay and Play Program). Must be currently undergoing or working towards an approved Diploma Qualification as per ACECQA.
About the role
Working in a team of Educators, you will have support of a Coordinator to seamlessly run before and after school care for children aged 5-12 years:
1. Facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into!
2. Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
3. Work with a team of skilled Educators onsite.
Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
1. Enjoy working with kids.
2. Strong and clear communication.
3. Team player with a desire to become a service leader.
4. Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it!) and a state check for working with children.
5. Australian work rights.
6. Obtained or studying towards a relevant Diploma level qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA.
