Autism Support Assistant Location: Bolton, BL2 Salary: £84 per day (PAYE, paid weekly) Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time Are you passionate about supporting children with autism and helping them thrive in a classroom environment? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of students. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a student with autism, tailoring assistance to their individual needs. Offer general support within the classroom to ensure an inclusive learning environment. Assist with social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies. Support communication and interaction using appropriate techniques, including visual aids and PECS (if applicable). Encourage positive behaviour and help manage any challenges effectively. Adapt activities to ensure accessibility for all students. Provide feedback on student progress and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs). What We Are Looking For: A caring and patient approach to working with children with autism and SEN. Experience working with children (formal or informal experience is welcomed). Strong communication and teamwork skills. A proactive and flexible attitude to classroom support. No formal qualifications are required, but relevant experience or training is beneficial.
