If you have both mechanical and electrical skills and experience working with large machinery (whether plant, heavy machinery, or rail vehicles), we want to hear from you Role Overview: As a Dual Skill Heavy Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of rail vehicles, ensuring their operational efficiency. You will be working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems to keep the machinery running at its best. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rail vehicles. Troubleshoot and diagnose both mechanical and electrical faults. Work with large machinery, including rail vehicles, plant, and heavy equipment. Carry out inspections to ensure the compliance and safety of vehicles and machinery. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Participate in a range of shift patterns, including earlies, lates, and nights, on a Monday to Friday schedule. Skills & Experience: Proven experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in heavy machinery, rail vehicles, or plant. A strong understanding of the maintenance requirements for large machinery. Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively. A flexible approach to shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Ideally, you will hold relevant certifications or qualifications in both mechanical and electrical fields (NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar). Benefits: Competitive salary of £45,500.
