Questech are recruiting on behalf of our client in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire for a Technical Assistant to monitor current Quality and Technical processes and systems, ensuring compliance in relation to relevant standards and customer requirements. Continually analysing results of internal and external data and suggesting solutions to increase compliance / efficiency of existing products and processes.
The person:
* Experience within ISO9001 (preferrable but not essential).
* Experience within a manufacturing environment (preferrable but not essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* National travel to supplier and customer sites.
* Full time role.
* DBS check required.
* Driving licence required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical advice, support and guidance to internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
* Proactively implement systems, processes and reporting to improve product quality
* Work with purchasing to ensure raw materials meet standards
* Use the shopfloor online system to analyse quality issues and drive improvement
* Assist with shopfloor / production activities regarding quality and technical tasks
* Support the delivery of NPD projects to help meet the company’s sales plans ensuring all technical aspects of our products and raw materials are correct
* Work with the NPD team to develop ideas into launched products
* Collect and set standard samples for production and sales teams
* Own the trial process ensuring relevant documentation and settings are recorded
* Deliver accurate, timely and high-standard information and presentations
* Ensure a quality service is provided to our customers both internal and external.
* Ensure all quality issues raised by customers are managed in line with quality and audit processes.
* Use customer complaint data to drive quality improvements.
* Monitor material, product and lab-testing quality to ensure continual improvements in products and work processes
* Monitor / participate in quality checks on raw materials, processes and finished goods
* Drive and deliver quality improvements in the business
* Support in CI projects where required.
This role is working Monday to Friday standard days.
The salary will be £28,000pa
