Job Title: Building Condition Coordinator
Location: North/Scotland (Field based)
Hours: Full time 35 hours per week on a 6-month FTC covering maternity leave
Reports To: European Head of Construction and Design
Salary: DOE with use of a company car
About the role
As a Building Condition Coordinator (Maternity Cover) at Busy Bees, you will play a vital role in ensuring our childcare centres remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. You’ll be responsible for conducting property condition surveys, reviewing fire risk assessments, and reporting findings to our head office. By aligning refurbishment needs with business priorities and addressing outstanding compliance actions, you’ll help us deliver an exceptional childcare experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Property Surveys: Conduct annual property condition surveys and fire risk assessment reviews within your region, identifying necessary remedial actions.
* Compliance: Ensure centres meet statutory and compliance requirements, reporting any health, safety, or property issues.
* Reporting: Complete detailed survey reports and communicate findings to head office to support refurbishment programs and compliance initiatives.
* Flexibility: Adapt to a field-based role that requires working from home, travel across the North & Scotland, and occasional overnight stays.
What we are looking for:
* Organised & Proactive: Able to manage multiple tasks independently with a conscientious approach.
* Technically Skilled: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) with strong reporting capabilities.
* Knowledgeable: Familiar with statutory and compliance requirements (preferred but not essential).
* Experienced or Qualified: A background in building surveying or property management is ideal, though not essential.
