We have opened a ‘Moving On’ rehabilitation unit in Spring 2022 in Wesham, based on the former Wesham Rehabilitation site on Mowbreck Lane. The unit has 24 beds for people who have been in hospital and need some support to regain skills and confidence with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning and looking after their own health and wellbeing.
The Moving On service provides a model of rehabilitation care which focuses on empowering the service user to gain or recover their confidence and skills that promote independence, autonomy and encourage hope for the future, whilst in recovery of a mental health illness.
We are looking for a highly motivated pharmacist with a specific interest in mental health rehabilitation services who would like the opportunity to apply for this exciting role.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post holder will be to provide a patient focussed clinical pharmacy service to service users in an inpatient setting specialising in rehabilitation for those with enduring mental health problems. You will be expected to provide a high level of pharmaceutical care to patients as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, participate in consultant ward reviews, undertake clinical audit and be actively involved in the education and training of less experienced pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
