We have great opportunities for Senior People Advisors to join our team at UHB, Heartlands Site People Team. You will be working with the Senior People Partners and People Partners in the delivery of people priorities to support the Trust's ambition and intent to create the best and safest place to work, where our people thrive through better and healthier lives made possible by fulfilling work.
You will be working within the Heartlands People Operational HR Team. The role will provide support to managers and staff offering advice in relation to a wide range of employee relations matters. Through the advice you give and relationships you build, you will also support embedding the principles of the Trust Behavioural Framework and Just and Learning Culture. Working closely with colleagues from across the People Directorate, you will seek to embed these principles in your delivery of training and engagement with our Organisational Development and Transformation Team.
Main duties of the job
All Band 6 Senior People Advisor roles will be considered as a Band 5 to 6 development opportunity as appropriate. Candidates successfully shortlisted for the development position will need to demonstrate that they meet the essential criteria for the Band 5 position and will be able to successfully meet the competency requirements within a reasonable time frame. Following completion of all relevant competencies, successful candidates will progress to a Band 6 position.
Candidates who are successfully shortlisted for both the Band 5 and Band 6 Development post will only be required to attend one interview.

Essential
1. Level 5 CIPD or equivalent degree level qualification supplemented by qualification and/or experience at post-graduate diploma/equivalent experience in a HR related field.
2. Evidence of recent continuous professional development.
Desirable
1. Achieved or working towards Level 7 CIPD or post-graduate diploma in Human Resources Management.
Experience
Essential
1. Experience of recent generalist HR experience in a large, complex organisation, including complex HR investigations, absence, and capability management.
2. Working in partnership with Trade unions.
3. Experience of developing and delivering effective people management training.
4. Experience of preparing, analysing, and presenting reports.
5. Up to date and thorough working knowledge of Employment Law and Human Resource Best Practice.
6. Evidence of improving working practices.
