DWP is looking to fill a vacancy in the Strategic Resourcing team within the People Services and Resourcing area of the People Capability and Place directorate. The team are responsible for a delivering the following key functions:
* Voluntary and Compulsory Redundancy schemes and Voluntary Exit Schemes
* Contingent labour strategy, policy and procedures
* Strategic Workforce Planning
* Workforce planning and reporting
* Business support
This role involves working primarily on redundancy schemes, exit schemes and contingent labour policy, and the successful candidate will be expected to support across the wider team when needed.
Key responsibilities
As an exit scheme manager, you will be responsible for:
* Leading on running of voluntary redundancy, compulsory redundancy and voluntary exit schemes
* Leading on the production and agreement of exit scheme plans
* Working with finance colleagues to calculate and agree scheme costings
* Drafting and production of communication products relating to exit schemes – including preparation of packs for individuals/managers
* Building and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders including exit scheme suppliers and finance colleagues
* Responding to queries from colleagues and key stakeholders across the department on both exits and contingent labour
* Supporting the maintenance of the contingent labour policy and procedures guidance, including intranet guidance
* Leading on the implementation of our career transition service contract, including liaising with the supplier to organise sessions and working with commercial colleagues on contract extensions and procurements
* Maintaining the team’s registered files
* Supporting wider team with ad hoc requirements
