Job Overview
An engineering maintenance manager is required to take the maintenance capabilities of a leading manufacturing group to the next level. Located at the flagship site in Leighton Buzzard, this exciting opportunity involves managing all aspects of engineering maintenance and project engineering activities.
The successful candidate will implement new maintenance plans, develop the maintenance team through training, coaching, and mentoring, and lead engineering projects on site. Key responsibilities include developing maintenance systems, legislative requirements, and value engineering.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement projects and systems including PPMs and TPM
• Develop teams of engineers, improve plant performance, and OEE
• Work closely with production teams to ensure the plant constantly improves its process
• Manage preventative and reactive maintenance experience while driving a proactive culture
• Lead improvement projects, such as stores and parts control, driving a proactive maintenance culture
Requirements
The ideal candidate has proven engineering and maintenance experience running multi-disciplined engineering teams, supported by a certified engineering qualification - Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Additionally, the ability to take a hands-on approach to challenging the status quo and driving performance forward through leadership in action is essential. CMMS experience and proven project management skills are also required. Experience working within a manufacturing environment is necessary for success in this role.
