Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Printer to join their business in Corby! This role will form part of a crew responsible for the operation of their printing presses and will support the existing team with great training, development and career progression opportunities!
The role
4. To ensure the smooth running of all machinery which is being operated on the shift.
5. To ensure all Health & Safety & PPE requirements are adhered to at all times.
6. To maintain current best working practices.
7. To report any non-conformities to the Team Leader immediately.
8. Learn and understand the following: Paper Awareness; Ink matching, colour technology and management; Machine setting and problem solving; Production efficiency.
9. Housekeeping and maintenance of machines.
10. Performing regular QC checks in line to ISO requirements.
11. Any other duties as required by Team Leader.
12. To work in accordance with all company certifications.
13. Actively engage and participate in all elements of Health and Safety requirements, whilst utilising the Health and Safety systems available.
Working hours are 3-shift rotation Monday to Friday.
Key job requirements
14. Experience of working within a busy manufacturing environment.
15. Previous knowledge of operating large format pre-print printing presses or similar equipment is desirable.
16. Strong technical ability and excellent attention to detail and be methodical in their approach.
17. Have an excellent eye for colour.
18. Ability to work as part of the team and on their own.
19. Able to work under pressure and at times meet tight deadlines.
20. Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
