Instrumentation Engineer Location: Gaydon Contract Type: Inside IR35 About the Role We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to oversee the installation of data loggers and measurement sensors on prototype vehicles. This role involves capturing accurate test data to enable engineering teams to validate the performance of vehicles, systems, and components. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the installation and configuration of data logging equipment and sensors. Ensure accurate data capture for vehicle, system, and component validation. Interact with system architectures, including CAN, CANFD, FlexRay, XCP/CCP, and other interfaces. Essential Skills & Experience: Strong understanding of data logging, sensors, and their interfaces in automotive or similar applications. Knowledge of vehicle/prototype engineering. Proficiency with system architectures and communication protocols such as CAN, CANFD, and FlexRay. Experience with data acquisition software and strong IT skills. Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Desirable Skills: Strong interpersonal and administrative abilities. Familiarity with cloud-based data management. Experience in presenting test data effectively. Basic project management capabilities.
