Job Description
Summary:
A BIM Manager is expected to assist the BIM Project Manager and project teams to meet client, business and industry requirements, including but not limited to:
1. Modelling and modelling audits (both graphical and metadata).
2. Information management.
3. Common Data Environment management.
4. Leading design clash resolution meetings.
5. Liaising with clients and subcontractors regarding information exchanges and coordination.
6. Taking ownership of the Master Information Delivery Plan / Task Team Information Delivery Plans.
In addition, the BIM Manager may also be asked to assist with work winning by drafting or contributing to a pre-project BIM Execution Plan with supporting evidence, demonstrating the business capabilities.
Experience:
Applicants should have demonstrable experience in the following:
1. An understanding of the fundamental principles and utilisation of a Common Data Environment, preferably Autodesk Construction Cloud.
2. The use of Revit for drafting 3D models and incorporating metadata.
3. The use of Navisworks and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud for clash detection, recording and resolution.
4. Providing guidance and training to project teams on the adoption of software, working environments and information exchange workflows.
5. An understanding and the deployment of BS EN ISO 19650 and its supporting appendices.
6. Contribution to BIM Execution Plans.
7. Requirements capture and demonstrating achievement of those requirements.
8. Clear, concise communication with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.
Applicants are not required to, but would preferably have knowledge of:
1. Solibri / Dynamo.
2. Autodesk Construction Cloud workflows, reviews and Docs / Build / Assemble modules.
3. 4D animations and planning.
4. Project bidding and creating pre-project BIM execution plans.
Please note this role is based in Stafford on a hybrid basis of 3 days on site and 2 days remote.
