At in Sudbury, Suffolk, we are a global leading manufacturer in the assembly of specialist instrumentation for laboratories and hospitals across the world for Urinalysis, Diabetes, and Blood Gas analytics, and are the only facility in the network to make and ship these products globally.
Apply now for the position of Engineering Degree Apprentice and you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in one of the world's leading healthcare companies, alongside gaining a Higher Apprenticeship Level 6 – Engineering Manufacture Technician qualification (degree).
We are looking for apprentices who want to experience a real working environment, and who want to take advantage of being paid to earn a structured and approved qualification whilst they do it.
Your role:
You will rotate through several different engineering departments such as:
* Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
* Operations Engineering: Assist in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
* Project Engineering: Support project planning and execution of new manufacturing processes, developing new equipment to fit future business needs.
* Design Transfer Engineering: Facilitate the transfer of new product designs from development to manufacturing, ensuring all design specifications are met and production processes are established.
* Validation: Participate in validation of equipment, processes, and systems to meet regulatory and quality standards, including developing validation protocols, executing activities, and documenting results.
* Automation & Digitalization: Utilize digital tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and simulation tools like Plant Simulation to analyze data, optimize processes, and support decision-making.
During this 5 to 6 Year apprenticeship, you will also complete learning modules and projects, working towards a BEng Engineering Degree, building a portfolio to support your final assessment under guidance from your line manager and our apprenticeship team.

Qualifications Required:
* 5 GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above, including Mathematics, English, and a Science, Technology, or Engineering-related subject.
* A Levels at grade C or above in Mathematical and Science/Engineering subjects, or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC Level 3.
Eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship and meeting residency criteria are also required.
