It is important that you have knowledge of a technical product and experience managing a technical sales cycle, often interacting with technical staff rather than procurement professionals, and that you can hunt out new business opportunities from a standing start. This role is all about new business sales: you need to be able to find and convert new opportunities. The product range you have is market-leading and fairly priced. International Sales Manager - Role and Responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain relationships with prospective customers
2. Communicate new product propositions to prospective customers
3. Plan, prepare and deliver responses (inclusive of presentations) to prospective customers
4. Maintain Customer Relationship Management database and produce a monthly sales report
5. Promote and develop corporate image and reputation and contribute to the overall business development plan
6. Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and provide the Managing Director with market activity feedback
International Sales Manager - Skills and Abilities
1. Experience selling advanced technology and complex engineered systems
2. Proven track record in a technical sales role within an engineering market sector
3. Excellent proposal presentation skills
4. Confident working in an autonomous role
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues at all levels
